Physi-Kult - London (formerly London Runner)
Physi-Kult is a provincially and nationally registered competitive running club that competes in Track, Cross Country, and Road Racing. The London group, formerly known as London Runner, was founded in 2006. PK athletes range from elementary school age to Masters (40+), and compete anywhere from the local level to representing Canada internationally.
The guiding principle through all groups is that of long-term development and viewing running as a life-long activity that enhances other areas of your life. PK membership categories are designed around a long-term development model that guides athletes towards peak performances in their adult years.
We strongly encourage members under the age of 16 to participate in other sport and non-sport activities; our club membership is set up with this in mind, with the potential to start specializing in distance running in the late-teen years, for those that choose to do so. Our membership fees are meant, in part, to facilitate single-child, multi-child and parent-child family membership rates that allow continued involvement in a variety of activities.
New athletes are always welcome and can attend workouts for free during a trial period to determine if the club is a good fit for them.
Financial Aid is available to help cover membership fees, upon request. Families with kids (up to age 18) can also apply for support from the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program.
College/University students have reduced membership rates.
Athlete discount at Backroads London is 25% off all brands; there will be 2 team orders per year, providing opportunities for discounted shoes and apparel.
