Welcome to Endurance Odyssey

Welcome to Endurance Odyssey! Designed to be a distance running community hub, EO merges the pre-existing websites for the London Distance Series of track meets, the London Runner Distance Club, and Endurance Odyssey online coaching, along with exciting new sections dedicated to the creation of Original Content and a Community Forum where a variety of discussions can take place. Let's take a tour!

Under the Events section you will find details for the London Distance Series, a cornerstone of the Ontario distance running scene. Maintaining the core four meets of the past few years, the 2019 series is as follows:
14th annual London 10,000m on Friday, May 10th
11th annual 1,500m Night on Sunday, June 16th
9th annual Forest City 5,000m on Saturday, June 22nd
Series Finale on Sunday, July 7th
We look forward to continuing to offer excellent racing opportunities for runners from across Ontario and beyond!

The site will continue to host online coaching information, the origins of the Endurance Odyssey moniker, and track club information for London Runner. A goal for this website is to provide an online home for these different athletes - along with friends, supporters, and partners spanning the broader Canadian running community - to connect, converse, and collaborate as a community. We are excited to expand on the concept of what it means to be a (track) club, branching out into weekly social runs, a spring/summer Speed Program, and welcoming online athletes under the same umbrella.

The Original Content section will feature a variety of material that can then be discussed under the Community forum, wherein users post under their own names. While the content and indeed the website itself will grow and evolve in part based on the community built around it, current plans for Original Content include:
*interviews and profiles with athletes and coaches
*training related topics, including in-depth 'How They Train' features in which an individual will outline a block of training, such as one month leading up to a goal race, and then engage in a subsequent Community forum Q&A to help expand on the details, context, and reasons behind the training
*articles highlighting interesting and important topics within Canadian Athletics, such as Carding and Qualifying standards, RED-S, and other topics that may not be fully covered in existing running media

We're excited and we hope that you are too. Join us as we build a welcoming, interactive community that will support and share in your pursuit of athletic excellence and self-discovery: your Endurance Odyssey. You can also follow Endurance Odyssey on social media: Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
