Steve Weiler
Hometown: Kingston, ON

A former Western Mustang Cross Country and Track athlete, Weiler began coaching in 1999. Following several years of assistant coaching duties, he founded London Runner in 2006 and was the head coach from 2006-2019. Now living in Kingston, Weiler is the Associate Head Coach of Physi-Kult.

A Chartered Professional Coach, Weiler has spent his entire adult life coaching and has worked with a wide range of ages and ability levels. At the elite end, he has coached athletes to Canadian Championship medals over a variety of race distances, as well as 15 National team selections.

A race director from 2005 to present, Weiler brought innovative ideas to fruition through the London Distance Series of track meets, which includes the highly acclaimed 1,500m Night.


*Coached athletes to the Senior National level in all track distances 800m-10,000m, and to Nationally-ranked level over the Half-Marathon and Marathon distances
*Coach for 'Team Canada' at the 2008 Austin Marathon, 2008 and 2009 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon International Team Challenge
*Coach for 'Team Canada' at the 2012 Bolder Boulder International Team Challenge
*Coached Leslie Sexton to top-10 All-Time Canadian in the Half Marathon and top-20 All-Time in the Marathon
